The pilot plants provide a way to simulate a continuous countercurrent extraction process and pre-determine process parameters such as temperature, solvent requirement, yields, production time and costs. Knowing the product quality and evaporation behavior or temperature sensitivity of an extract is important for a successful extraction. The facilities consist of Pilot-Extraction Plant, Pilot-Evaporation Plant and Pilot-Drying Plant.

Our laboratory is fully-equipped to perform microextractions, quality control techniques as well as research and development.

Our analytical tools range from simple to sophisticated ones such as pH meters, refractometers, moisture/carbon determining balances, analytical balances, microscopes, TLC-Scanners, AAS, GCs, HPLCs, GC-MS, LC-MS, UV, VIS, and FTIR. In addition, our microbiology department is equipped with sterile facilities, incubators and culture counters.
