5000 Tree for Merapi
Jakarta, April 28, 2011 - As a national manufacturer of herbal medicines that have a high awareness of the natural preservation of Indonesia and the anniversary of the 35th, today, PT Deltomed Laboratories in collaboration with the Faculty of Biotechnology, Atma Jaya Catholic University in Yogyakarta to plant 5000 trees to Mount Merapi Serunen Village, District Cangkringan, Glagaharjo Village, Sleman, Yogyakarta. This area suffered considerable damage when the eruption of Mount Merapi in 2010. Managing Director of PT Deltomed Laboratories Mulyo Rahardjo, and Dean of the Faculty of Biotechnology, Atma Jaya Catholic University in Yogyakarta Drs. A. Wibowo Nugroho Jati, MS. Were present during the planting ceremony at 28 april 2011 on Merapi.
Managing Director of Deltomed Laboratories, Mulyo Rahardjo says "Deltomed as national herbal medicine manufacturers, always provide health products from natural materials to realize the importance of sustaining natural resources and environment. Therefore, in order Deltomed anniversary of the 35th, today we planted 5000 trees for Merapi to help speed up the natural regeneration and re-greening the environment surrounding the damaged area. Regeneration program is expected to have promoted the recovery of environmental conditions and local economy. "
Deltomed with Unika Atma Jaya Yogyakarta provide tree seedlings 5000 consisting of 1,000 tree seedlings and 4,000 seedlings trembesi Sengon. Selection of these two types of trees follows the input and requests Serunen Village community that assesses both of these species in addition to rapid growth also has economic value.

Deltomed dividing this tree planting activity in several stages. The first phase was conducted in the Village area Serunen, Sleman and will be followed by the next stage immediately after the 5000 tree planting was completed.
Tree planting partnership program with Unika Atma Jaya Yogyakarta is one of a series of anniversary events Deltomed the 35th.
